Yes I know what it means. When people say zettai ni they usually mean definitely not. If you just said zettai I would have not misunderstood it.

I watch a bunch of Japanese stuff and it's always translated as "definitely not" when they said "zettai ni." Let me see what Google says.

Looks like we are both right.

"Zettai (絶対、ぜったい) means absolute or unconditional in Japanese. In negative sentences, it is roughly equivalent to never or no way."
